Most people we work with have never published anything. You are not behind.
The things people worry about
- “My manuscript isn't finished.”
- Send it anyway. We would rather see where it actually is than have you spend six months polishing something that needs a different shape.
- “I don't know what any of this costs.”
- Typesetting and book design starts at GMD 2,500. Everything else depends on your book, and we agree it in writing before anything begins. Asking costs nothing.
- “I don't know what typesetting even is.”
- It is the work that turns a document into a book — margins, chapter openings, page numbers, the things you only notice when they are wrong. You do not need to understand it. You need someone who does.
- “I'm not a real writer yet.”
- You have a manuscript. That is the only qualification this requires.
What to send
Whatever you have. A Word file is ideal. A PDF is fine. If it is handwritten and photographed, say so and we will tell you the easiest way forward. Read how the process works if you want to know what happens next.
