Privacy Policy

How LexoGraphix Plus handles the information you send us. Last updated 25 August 2026.

Who this is about

LexoGraphix Plus is a publishing and creative solutions business based in The Gambia. This policy covers information you give us through this website and the reader account connected to it. It does not cover websites we may build for clients.

What we collect, and when

We collect the information you submit to us and the operational information needed to provide the service you request.

When you start a project or contact us

Your name, email address and, where you choose to provide them, your phone number, organisation, budget information and the content of your enquiry.

When you submit a manuscript

Your contact details, information about the work and the manuscript/supporting files you choose to send. Sending us a manuscript does not transfer copyright or publishing rights to us.

When you create a reader account

Your display name, email address, optional phone number and a password hash. We do not store your password in readable form. We also keep an expiry-limited sign-in session so you can return to your account and library.

If you choose to receive new releases and promotions, we also store your marketing preference and when that preference was recorded or changed. Marketing is optional and is not required to create an account or buy/read a book.

When you buy a digital edition

LexoCore records the book, price, currency, payment status, transaction reference, receipt information and reading entitlement connected to your reader account. Payment credentials are entered on Modem Pay's hosted checkout, not on this website or in LexoCore.

When you subscribe to other updates

Where a separate updates/newsletter form is offered, we keep the email address and subscription preference needed to provide it.

Your theme choice

If you switch between the dark and light versions of this site, the choice is stored in your browser so the site can remember it. It is not used to track you across websites.

Marketing emails

Reader marketing is opt-in. The registration option is unchecked by default. You can change your preference from your reader account whenever you want. If you ask our staff to stop marketing emails, we may also record that opt-out for you.

Marketing permission is separate from transactional communication. We may still send essential account/security messages, purchase confirmations and receipts when they are needed to provide a service you requested, even when marketing is off.

What we do not collect or do

  • We do not sell or rent your personal information to advertisers.
  • We do not give another business your reader list for its own marketing.
  • We do not build cross-site advertising profiles of visitors.
  • We do not see or store your card, wallet or mobile-money payment credentials; the payment provider handles them.

Why we hold it

We use information to answer enquiries, carry out publishing or digital work, provide reader accounts and libraries, verify purchases, issue receipts, grant the access you purchased, prevent abuse and support you if something goes wrong.

If you explicitly opt in to marketing, we may also use your contact information to send LexoGraphix Plus new releases, author launches and occasional promotions. We stop those marketing sends when you opt out.

Your manuscript and unpublished work

Sending us a manuscript does not give us rights over it. You keep your copyright unless a separate agreement says otherwise. We treat unpublished work as confidential and do not publish, quote or circulate it without the permission required for that use.

Who else processes information

Your information stays within systems we use to operate LexoGraphix Plus, except where a service provider is necessary to deliver the service. Those providers can include hosting/database/storage services, our email-delivery provider and Modem Pay for hosted payment processing and payment confirmation.

We do not pass your details to another party for that party's own marketing unless you separately ask or agree to that, or unless we are legally required to provide information.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiries and project records for as long as needed to respond, deliver the work and support reasonable follow-up. Reader accounts and purchase/access records are kept while needed to provide the library, support transactions and meet legitimate financial, legal or operational record requirements.

Marketing preference history may be kept so we can demonstrate and honour your current choice. An opt-out record can therefore remain even though marketing has stopped.

You may ask us to close an account or remove personal information. Some purchase, financial or audit records may need to be retained where there is a legitimate or legal reason.

If you are under 18

We work with young writers. If you are under 18, please involve a parent or guardian before sending us unpublished work or personal contact details. A parent or guardian may contact us about a young person's information.

Your choices and rights

You can ask what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to remove information where appropriate, and change your marketing preference. For reader marketing, the account page provides direct opt-in/opt-out control.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. If a change materially affects how we use information already provided to us, we will take reasonable steps to communicate it where appropriate.
