The Noisy Neighbour

Up and down jumps
The noisy neighbour
He lives very near my pillow
But often occupies the parlour
Looking for something to swallow

Leaves, nuts, papers, and anything consumable
Sometimes even the skin of my body
Even if I tremble
Or more so fumble
He can produce the relief whenever I shake in the sleep

My sleep can go that deep
Snoring too loud to call citizens to attention
Like the cock performing its early morning function
The cockcrow
This breaks night into pieces
As in the special night,
When Okonkwo visited my house,
He shook the ceiling more than thunderstorms

I enjoyed my neighbour's company
He ran from corner to corner in paradigm
When are rats so athletic like a thief chased on a Sunday's market day?

Why the pickpocketing at Westfield?
The robbery in Magnolia...
The killings in the street...
When did we turn thugs of war?
Why do we want to substitute our peace?
If my neighbour continue this nefarious trafficking,

I will employ the venomous venom
To end his noisy mission
My noisy neighbour
Vanish!!!
