The Herioc And Iconic Man

The heroic and iconic man who fought and ended Apartheid in South Africa was buried at his home village of Qunu on Sunday the 15th of December, 2013. Nelson Mandela (Anti Apartheid's hero) who died on Thursday (5th December) at the age of 95 became the country's first black president in 1994. Due to his remarkable and sensational achievements not only for South Africa but Africa as a whole, everybody from the continent and outside was represented in paying tributes and respect to the vital lost asset regardless of his age.
He stepped down from office after serving only a term which depicted his Democratic and charismatic leadership paving a way for his successor to consolidate his efforts. Having being an anti-apartheid hero and Pan-Africanist, millions of citizens across the country came out to pay their last tributes and respects to the silicon value and role model through mourning songs and prayers.

Speaking on the occasion, the South Africa president Jacob Zuma assured his late former President calling him "Dadda" meaning brother, the continuous loyalty South Africa will remain towards maintaining peace and unity, raising it to the higher height in his absence. That the solidarity his predecessor had advocated until his departure shall be conserved, preserved and reserved. In the same vein, Armed Kathrada, one of Mandela's best and closest friends addressed him as a brother, lover, friend, and more prolific a mentor that he has lost and will surely miss in a very sad and drained voice.
The burial was held in a manner in which the flag of the country was lowered down and replaced by that of the ANC's to appease the demised hero and ensure loyalty that the country will remain peaceful, united and violence free after his departure to meet his ancestors in the land of silence.
This man shall always be remembered as archived and accounted in History books through one of his usual sayings, "The country (South Africa) can never move towards development faster than the vulnerable active youthful population of this nation." A tool he used in fighting Apartheid and the won fierce battle to salvage innocent blacks against separation, discrimination, marginalization, and exclusion.
